Eagle Bill Amato - also known as the Godfather of the Vaporiser - devoted a great deal of his life to cannabis and to teaching people about cannabis. At the Museum and at countless cannabis events over the years (including 10 consecutive Cannabis Cups), it’s been conservatively estimated that Eagle Bill vaporised over 100,000 people. The real number may be double that. Vaporisers have been exploding in popularity in recent years, with dozens of models available to buy. But before Bill and his original vaporiser – a giant glass bowl and heat-gun combination that he built himself – became famous, the vaporisation method was almost unheard of.
